Rating: - Marvellous lamp
Marvellous lamp. Easy to assemble - just screw shade to lamp. Open clip and clip to shelf or ledge - insert bulb and bingo - super bright reading light! Arm can bend this way - that way - any way! Really pleased with product and also cheap - good value for money.
Rating: - Very poor design
Wish I'd taken more notice of the other review here before I ordered my lamp. Wasn't even able to assemble the shade to the lamp due to faulty screw fastening. At least Amazon accpeted the return of faulty goods and quickly issued a full refund.
Any other potential purchasers take note - AVOID THIS LAMP. Poor design and easily-broken components.

This light arrived and looked quite good, although you have to purchase the light bulb separately. The general construction was fairly robust,(glass lightshade, metal flexi arm,) apart from the actual 'clip-on'' part. This is PLASTIC!! This is the part that takes the most use, and the spring inside it is really strong, so needless to say, the first time I tried to use it, the clip broke. I am now left with an unusable item.
